How lucky am I to be able to take engagement photos at my home in Huron County?! The fact that I get to host amazing new friends like Rachel and Adam at my home to make memories is a dream come true. When I met Rachel and Adam, we clicked immediately and I am SO excited to be involved in their wedding!
If you’ve followed along on this journey for a while, you know how important farm life is to me and my family. I get so excited when I get to share that part of my life AND get to do work I love at the same time. It’s so important to me that couples feel safe, confident and content during our sessions. It means the world to me that my home can provide that for others.
It was love at first sight – and I’m talking about me and Rachel, not Rachel and Adam!
I was lucky enough to shoot Rachel’s sister’s wedding back in 2021 and Rachel and I got to talking. We hit it off so well! By The end of the night Rachel was sure I’d be her photographer for her someday wedding! Funny story – I was one of the first people that they told their engagement news to. They wanted to be sure I could hold space in my books for them! I told them I would be there, no matter when.
Rachel and Adam received a happy surprise a little while ago. They will be a family of three when they tie the knot! You can notice Rachel cradling her adorable baby bump in some of the photos below. Rachel makes a gorgeous and radiant wife and mom to be, because when you’re a wonderful person on the inside it shines through on the outside!
When I say I am excited to take photos at this venue, I don’t think you realize exactly how serious I am! I have been wanting to shoot at Maple Lane Haven since I started shooting weddings. I am beyond grateful to be a part of Rachel and Adam’s wedding there!
The ceremony and reception will take place next year, which is absolutely perfect because then they’ll have the sweetest little flower girl or ring bearer! Side note: being able to hold your head up or walk isn’t a requirement for that job, right?! They will have ten people in the wedding party including them, and approximately 120 guests. They are going for a Fall-inspired colour scheme, and I can’t wait to see how it all comes together!
