Welcome to a tale of love, laughter, and a sprinkle of winter magic! Let’s dive into Cassi and Sam’s enchanting winter wedding outside of Goderich at the Benmiller Inn. You would never know it was Winter based on the weather, but I promise this was in February! The lighting was perfect and this venue is literally a photographers dream!

I met Cassi when I was photographing a women in business event at Grayson Mills in Stratford. She was helping run the event and we clicked right away, she is just that kind of person! We got to chatting and she mentioned she was getting married in February 2024… Enter: Aiden Laurette Photography!

Fun fact: Cassi is a hairdresser that lives super close to me. Because of the fact that we moved over an hour away from my hairdresser two years ago and I have yet to find a replacement, I am super excited! No more long drives or overdue trims for me!

Serving Love in a Restaurant

Cassi and Sam’s love story began in the hustle and bustle of a local restaurant. They met while working side by side. Fast forward ten years, and their bond has only grown stronger. Described as silly, goofy, and delightfully awkward, this dynamic duo finally decided to tie the knot. They couldn’t wait to celebrate their journey surrounded by loved ones. It was such a special thing to witness these two cementing their commitment to one another in front of their closest family and friends. Owing to their intimate nature, elopements always have a special place in my heart!

The Day of: Intimate Winter Wedding Festivities

As the sun danced through the frosty air, Cassi and her loved ones shared a serene morning preparing for the festivities. With the help of her sister and niece, Cassi embraced the tranquility of the day. Her gown had the most gorgeous sleeves I’ve ever seen, perfect for February! Meanwhile, Sam, brimming with nervous energy, put the final touches on the decorations before stepping into the spotlight.

Opting for a private first look and portraits against the backdrop of Benmiller’s winter wonderland, the couple’s love radiated warmth, melting away any pre-wedding jitters. As they exchanged vows at the intimate 4pm ceremony, it was evident that their journey together was a “long time coming”! All worth it to end in a moment of pure, heartfelt joy. Cassi even pretended to blow the dust off of her wedding vows as a cheeky little joke, and if that doesn’t tell you who they are as a couple I don’t know what does!
