A Little Bit More about Aiden: Owner and Primary Photographer at Aiden Laurette Photography
As we head into the slow season and wrap up 2023, I thought I would take a second to re-introduce myself. I’m Aiden, and welcome to Aiden Laurette Photography! I am so glad you are here and getting to know me a little. I am a wife and a mama of 3 beautiful kiddos. Emmerson is 10, Reese is 7 and Theodore is 5. They are wild and hilarious and love each other fiercely. Oh yeah! I’m also a photographer and a business owner!
I curated this business with the goal of honouring and elevating women in the most special seasons of their lives, getting married and building their families! As a mama myself, I know how much importance my own wedding and family photos in my home mean to me and how proud they make me.
A Little Bit More about Aiden:
I am in my early 30’s. I married my high school sweetheart when I was 20! We have been together for more than half my life at this point. My husband, Chris is a total goofball and one of the hardest working people I have ever met. We live in North Huron on a country property; in the house my husband grew up in. They built this classic country stone house in 1851!
When I’m not curating timeless memories for people, wrangling the gremlins, wrestling snakes out of the farmhouse, renovating a piece of furniture, or running the trails with our dog Abby I can probably be found reading by our woodstove or exercising in our home gym! I also love to read, and get outside every opportunity I can find. I also love to travel, especially with the kids! We went to Ireland in Summer 2023 and are currently set to venture to Florida, Portugal, Spain and Gibraltar in March 2024.
Travelling as a Family with Kids under 11
Traveling is SUCH a priority for us. We want to show our kids the world, and make as many memories as possible with them before they become teenagers and start to adventure without us more. Some people think we’re crazy for traveling the world with three kids under 11 years old, but we think we’d be crazy not to. Our kids are the best travelers we know, and even though we’re constantly told “they won’t remember it, what’s the point?” We know the impact it has on both us and them!
Owing to our love of travel, Chris and I have recently started a new endeavor together! Apparently we have a hard time keeping still! In Spring 2023 we opened up Sunrise Silo Acres, a glamping and retreat space on our property. We have a luxury tent, a fitness centre with a pool and indoor plumbing, scenic trails, and SO much more. The Earth moves through seasons, and I firmly believe that humans do too. We have seasons where we’re more productive, and seasons where we need to rest and hibernate. Everybody needs to slow down and rest every once in a while, and it’s our mission at Sunrise Silo Acres to help you truly rest, relax, and rejuvenate.

To sum up, as we head into our own personal season of hibernation over here, I invite you to take some time to reflect. What are your priorities as we wrap up 2023? What do you want your 2024 to look and feel like? How are you going to make it happen? I promise you the life you want is within your grasp- that’s what we’re all working for anyways right?
