An Engagement Session in Brussels

When it comes to capturing the essence of a couple’s love story, there’s nothing quite like an engagement session. Sally and Cameron, two adventurous souls who met online, joined me last night for their session an apple farm at Blakes Orchard in Brussels. As their photographer, I had the pleasure of getting to know them both and enjoy an hour of golden sunshine, laughter and picture perfection.

The Hike that Started It All

Sally and Cameron’s love story began with a hike, probably one of my fave first date ideas. Being outdoors is one of the couples main shared interests. Additionally they are adventurous, so it makes sense that’s what they chose for their first date! It was on that very day that their connection was ignited! They embarked on a journey that would ultimately lead them to their engagement session at Blakes Orchard.

In today’s digital age, many meaningful connections are forged online, and Sally and Cameron’s story is no exception. They first crossed paths through a dating app. Little did they know that a few messages would pave the way for a lifetime of love and happiness!

Marigold: The Furry Third Wheel

Every love story is unique, and Sally and Cameron’s is no different. Their engagement session at Blakes Orchard not only featured beautiful landscapes but also included a special guest star: Marigold, their adorable 13 year old cock-a-poo. Marigold’s presence added an extra layer of joy and warmth to the photographs! Furthermore, I always love having your furry family members along for the ride. It is just SO much fun!

A Magical Proposal at Nathan Phillips Square

Sally had thoughtfully gifted Cameron tickets to the play “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” – a nod to their shared love for the wizarding world. Because it was meant to be Cameron’s Christmas gift, Sally wanted to focus on him. Little did she know, he had something else up his sleeve.

Amidst the enchanting atmosphere of the square, Cameron seized the opportunity to turn the tables. A wonderful surprise in the form of a heartfelt, romantic proposal was imminent. With the backdrop of the Harry Potter play, he made it clear that their love story was nothing short of magical.

Blakes Orchard: A Captivating Backdrop for an Engagement Session in Brussels

When it came time for their engagement session, Sally and Cameron wanted to use an apple orchard. After a bit of research, we chose Blake’s in Brussels. This was a perfect spot, as the kind owners allowed us to have our session after hours, meaning we had the entire farm to ourselves. The lush apple orchards provided a romantic and rustic backdrop, full of charm and natural beauty. Owing to that, as they wandered hand in hand through the orchards, their love shone brightly, and I had the privilege of capturing those precious moments.

The beauty of Blakes Orchard added depth to their photos, creating a timeless and romantic ambiance that perfectly reflected their love story. Each snapshot told a story of love, laughter, and the promise of a future together.
