Let me tell you a fun story of how this winter family session came to be. A couple of years ago I was approached by a local guy who is involved in the beef industry. He was interested in providing his clients with a gift that was unique and different.
So for the past 2 years I have been slowly making my around Huron and Perth Counties photographing beef farming families on their home farms. I have so much fun getting to know all of these farming families. Some of them are young farmers who are the second or third generation in their family to be raising beef cattle. They have young kids and are navigating parenting, farming and everything that comes with that. Some of them are older and their children are already grown. There are 2 generations involved with the operation. I have enjoyed learning about the local operations and seeing how vastly different they can be farm to farm.
Their lives are not… easily scheduled… Between planting, harvesting, kids schedules, cattle shipping, etc etc etc, it is tough to find a time to fit a session in. So for this family we decided a winter family sessions was the perfect solution. Now if you have read many blog posts around here, you know I secretly love winter sessions because there is something about photographing in the snow that is just magical. This winter family session certainly didn’t disappoint! Enjoy the scroll!
