Patrick and Alexine had the most beautiful intimate beach side wedding day in Kincardine last weekend, they got married over looking Lake Huron at The Rock Garden in Kincardine Ontario. They had a beautiful simple ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family.

I met Patrick and a tree’d area near the beach about one kilometre from the Rock Garden. He and Alexine surprised me with the kindest gift; a personalized mug that said “World’s Greatest Wedding Photographer”. It was such a kind gift to start the day.

Soon afterwards Alexine joined us for a beautiful first look and we headed straight into portraits of them and their wedding party. Our plan for portraits was to take them as we made our way along the 1km of board walk towards the Rock Garden and end our portraits near the ceremony site. It was such a fun and unique way to arrive to their ceremony.

Pat and Lex lucked out with the a perfect day of sunshine and a breeze off the water.

They shared hand written vows with each other with the lake as their backdrop! We even had a few swimmers pause to listen to them!

Since we had enjoyed out photography walk prior to the ceremony Pat and Lex were free to enjoy their cocktail hour with their guests. From the beach we made our way inland about a block and they met their guests at The Walker House in Kincardine. If you have never been to The Walker house, it is a must see! It is an old museum, with an event space, a bar and courtyard patio. If you enjoy unique, historic, vintage spaces this spot is a dream! It was such a cool space to photograph and to enjoy a small wedding reception!

They curated several special details within the reception space to make it their own all while allowing the beauty and unique historical vibe of venue take centre stage! One extra special thing that Lex did, was she baked and decorated her own cake.
