Country View Weddings: The perfect Farm/ Tent Fusion Wedding Venue in Staffa Ontario

Let’s start a glimpse into the stunning venue that Alex and Matt chose for their day. Country View Weddings more than just a venue. It combines the rustic beauty of a century barn, while also boasting a gorgeous permanent tent, the perfect twinkle lit patio and lovely grounds. While Country View does not provide catering, they provide ample space for any caterer you choose to bring in. Alex and Matt provided one of the best wedding meals I have ever enjoyed(HELLO…Tacos AND POUTINE!) brought in by the talented staff at Features of Stratford Country Style Catering

Alex and Matt: A Covid Encounter

One of the first things I noticed as I photographed the details of Matt and Alex’s reception was the board of dates. Their first date, their engagement and their wedding date. Their first date was sometime in early March of 2020. It was notable because, it was roughly 3 or 4 days before the world “shut down” for quarantine. I later learned that after just a few dates and chatting lots they moved in together quite quickly. Likely, partly due to the wild ride that covid caused for living situations. I laughed when Alex said, that they were “pretty much inseparable” pretty early on!

It was immediately clear from the stories told, the friends invited and the overall atmosphere of the wedding, that Alex and Matt are well loved by everyone they meet. They enjoy live music and camping spending time with their dogs and hiking. It was such a pleasure to see them celebrate their big day with so many friends who share their interests.

Matt is a contractor and Alex runs a home daycare. So it should come as no surprise that their home is something very special to them. Matt has likely had his hands on some aspect of every room in their home to make improvements. While Alex now uses their home not only for their life but for their income as well.

Knowing that, it wasn’t shocking when Alex asked that we have their engagement session right in their own backyard! We even included a campfire with the beautiful backyard firepit that Matt built for them

About the Wedding Day: A fun-filled Celebration at Country View Weddings

Now, let’s fast forward to the main event – Alex and Matts’s big day. Despite the windy morning, the atmosphere overflowed with love and laughter as guests gathered for their outdoor ceremony under the trees. Guests were able to comfortably move straight to the patio following the ceremony to enjoy cocktail hour while the couple and I grabbed some gorgeous shots of their post wedding bliss!

Throughout the day, the couple’s fun-loving nature shone through. Alex and Matt definitely know how to have fun and so do their friends! Matt’s groomsmen made it hard to focus on the task as we had a blast taking photos and even Matt’s parents got involved when a GIANT poster of Matt’s childhood accomplishments came out during their speech!
