An Intimate Elopement in Toronto: Capturing the Heartfelt Journey of Diana and George
Love stories are woven in moments that define lifetimes, and the tale of Diana and George is no different. Their journey, filled with warmth, resilience, and shared experiences, culminated in a beautiful indoor ceremony that united their hearts in the heart of Toronto.
Back in 2013, fate orchestrated a chance meeting between Diana and George at an event in Calgary. Encouraged by a common friend, that friend introduced Diana to a gathering of unfamiliar faces on that memorable January 6th. From the very first moment, their friendly connection became the foundation of their story. A common spark ignited a friendship that would soon transform into something deeper.
Through several transitions and moves from Calgary to the beautiful city of Toronto this lovely couple has grown deeper in love. They continue to build on their foundation through long distance and then building a life together in Toronto. What’s more, their elopement in the heart of Toronto was a culmination of these cherished moments. An indoor ceremony, intimately attended by about 20 of their closest loved ones, encapsulated the love they had nurtured through time.
One of my favourite parts of my time with Diana and George was their family and friend portraits! This part of the day can often be rather fast paced. Owing to that it is often one of the harder parts of the day making sure everyone is photographed. Diana spent time creating a list for me that was so fun to read! it encapsulated all of the different parts of her and George’s life together. We photographed the “Calgary Crew” The “US Crew” and even the “2013 Waves Crew”! I always love seeing long lasting friendships highlighted on a wedding day and how everyone comes together to celebrate the love these 2 share.
The couple’s shared interests extend to the outdoors. Walks in parks, hikes, picnics, and visits to the beach are all favourite activities. These things were obvious during their wedding day, when they chose to have their photographs at the stunning Edward Gardens in Toronto. These two city dwellers have a keen eye for beautiful naturescapes right in the downtown core of the city.
A love for hosting gatherings led to an annual BBQ tradition that brings together their circle of friends. This serves to showcase their warmth and hospitality. Moreover, this love was in full bloom on their wedding day. Their friends and family joined them for pizza and Karaoke following their photos.
