With their dogs, Wednesday and Nova, by their side, we explored a truly unique and hidden gem of the area, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
A Love Story Rooted in Friendship and Adventure
Shannan and Joe’s love story began in an unexpected yet charming way. Shannan, seeking her second tattoo, was introduced to Joe through her brother’s common-law girlfriend. What started as a professional encounter quickly blossomed into a close friendship. Just six months later, on Joe’s birthday, that friendship transformed into something much deeper. Their bond grew stronger as they supported each other through life’s challenges. It wasn’t long before they knew they were meant to be together.
Their love story is one of shared passions and experiences. Both Shannan and Joe are avid hikers who love the outdoors, though Joe’s night shifts have limited their hiking adventures lately. However, they still find joy in simple pleasures like driving to nowhere in particular and spending time in record stores. Their connection is not just built on shared interests but also on how they support and uplift each other.
A Rock and Roll Romance
What makes Shannan and Joe’s relationship truly unique is their mutual love for music and the rock-and-roll lifestyle. Their upcoming wedding on August 9th, 2025, at Maelstrom Winery in Seaforth, ON, promises to be a celebration of their love for each other and their passion for music. With a punk rock theme, records as decorations, and a laid-back yet fun vibe, their wedding is sure to be a reflection of their cool, fun, and very rock-and-roll personalities.
One of the standout moments in their relationship was Joe’s proposal, which took place during a Bowling For Soup concert. Joe, with his characteristic charm and sense of humor, managed to surprise Shannan by getting her on stage during the concert. The proposal, captured on video, is a testament to their playful and adventurous spirits.
A Perfect Day in Lucknow
For their engagement session, we chose our very own village of Lucknow, with a twist. When they told me they wanted to take photos in a nearby cemetery, I was all in! It fit their vibe perfectly. The pre-fall setting provided a beautiful backdrop of warm, earthy tones, perfectly complementing the couple’s down-to-earth yet vibrant personalities.
Wednesday and Nova, their beloved dogs, added a touch of joy and playfulness to the session. As we wandered through the trails, the couple’s love for nature and each other was evident in every shot. Whether they were laughing together, sharing a quiet moment, or simply enjoying the fresh air, Shannan and Joe’s connection was palpable. Their adventurous spirits, combined with their deep love for each other, made for a truly magical engagement session.
