I had the absolute pleasure of capturing the engagement session of Joe and Jessica, a sweet couple whose love story is as heartwarming as it gets. We met at the picturesque Mohawk Park, a location that perfectly complemented their joyful and loving personalities. Joe and Jessica’s journey began on Plenty of Fish. After meeting in person at William’s Cafe on December 9th, 2016, they knew they had something special. By December 11th, they were officially a couple, and their bond has only grown stronger through the ups and downs of life.

Both Joe and Jessica work in finance, with jobs in the Military and at McMaster University respectively. Owing to this, they are a self-proclaimed pair of “planners”. This is evident in their approach to their wedding preparations, and I admire their dedication! As we walked through Mohawk Park, the couple shared more about their life together. They are homebodies at heart. Furthermore, Joe enjoys video games while Jessica is a fan of reality TV shows like “90 Day Fiancé.” They also share their home with Joe’s 8-year-old daughter and a lovable cockapoo named Charlie. Their pup has been a part of their family since the early days of the pandemic.

A Day Filled with Love

Despite only being engaged since August 19th of last year, Jessica’s excitement and planning have been in full swing from day one. Originally considering Millcroft for their wedding venue, they decided to pivot to the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory. Due to accommodate their large guest list and their wish for a unique and beautiful wedding location. This venue change perfectly suits their vision of an intimate and enchanting celebration. One of the highlights of their wedding day will undoubtedly be their private first dance before the reception. It’s a beautiful idea that truly reflects their desire for a personal and memorable experience. During the engagement shoot, Joe and Jessica’s love for each other was palpable.

They laughed, held hands, and shared sweet moments that I was fortunate to capture through my lens. The lush greenery and serene environment of Mohawk Park provided the ideal backdrop for their photos, mirroring the natural and genuine connection they share.
