An Engagement Session in St. Thomas
In the age of digital connections, love stories have broken free from the confines of fairy tales. Meghan and Fabian’s heartwarming journey to marriage not only testifies to the power of online romance but also highlights the enchantment of surprise proposals.
Meghan and Fabian’s love story took root in the digital realm, marking a classic online meet destined to reshape their lives. After years devoted to personal pursuits, Meghan ventured into the online world, where Fabian distinguished himself from the rest. Due to the fact that he sparked a meaningful conversation, and their digital connection flourished over days of messaging.
Their initial in-person encounter transpired over a sushi date, quickly revealing the special bond they shared. Even though they kindled their relationship during the challenging backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, their connection steadily deepened. The unprecedented circumstances of the pandemic brought them closer.
On March 6th, 2022, Fabian orchestrated a proposal etched permanently in their memories. Their love story had already been adorned with shared experiences, and this moment was no exception. Due to the pandemic, they had yet to embark on a classic movie date, even after several years together.
Dressed to the nines for the occasion, they embarked on their inaugural movie date. Clutching popcorn and candy, they immersed themselves in the film. By the movie’s conclusion, they found themselves not particularly hungry for dinner, but Fabian insisted on dining out. Meghan reluctantly agreed.
Seated at a restaurant, they contemplated their shared future. Little did Meghan know that Fabian had a surprise up his sleeve. He posed a question about her expectations for the proposal, and, in her characteristic open-heartedness, she responded that she would be ready whenever he was. It was at that moment Fabian slid a ring box across the table. Initially, Meghan perceived it as a joke, but the sparkling ring within left no room for doubt. Her complete surprise was no small feat, given that they were constantly together and Fabian’s usual difficulty in keeping secrets.
Their jewel toned October wedding is planned at the enchanting Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory, surrounded by 70 cherished guests. Which is still one of my favourite venues to photograph in, I can’t wait for another chance to create unique butterfly filled images.
Meghan and Fabian’s engagement session in St. Thomas at The Waterworks was the perfect opportunity to get to know them both better and I cannot wait for next fall.
