It was the first month of their freshman year at Conestoga College in 2014 when Mackenzie and David’s paths crossed. They weren’t just college sweethearts; they happened to live down the hall from each other. Little did they know that this chance proximity would lead to a love story that would stand the test of time!

Fast forward to December 17, 2022, a day etched in their hearts forever. David, always the thoughtful one, planned a surprise for Mackenzie that would change their lives. He had bought tickets for them to see The Nutcracker in Toronto and booked a hotel room for the night. The show was a magical experience, but David had something even more enchanting in store.

A Holiday Proposal

Owing to the fact that Mackenzie was prone to shed a tear or two during emotional moments, David decided to wait until after the show to pop the question. Additionally, he didn’t want to embarrass her in front of a theater full of strangers! In the cozy ambiance of their hotel room, David mustered the courage to propose. As he got down on one knee and presented a glittering ring, Mackenzie couldn’t believe her eyes. She kept asking if he was joking! They have filled their journey from college freshmen to soon-to-be newlyweds with laughter, shared dreams, and countless cherished memories.
