Engagement photos in Pinery Provincial Park in Grand Bend? Yes please! This time of year – all year round really – it is the PERFECT place for engagement photos. The Fall foliage is absolutely stunning and you can’t beat the beach setting, like ever! Even when it’s 5 degrees celcius in October. I think this is just my favourite time of year in general! The fact that it’s the perfect setting for the work I do and the memories I create is just a bonus. Pinery Provincial Park has dunes, hiking trails, unique native natural species, over 10km of sandy beaches on Lake Huron. It also has some of the top nationally ranked cross country skiing and sunsets that National Geographic has called the top ten in the world! If you haven’t been and are local/close to the area, I highly recommend you check it out!
Not only is Pinery Provincial Park perfect for engagement photos but the trails and the beach are the perfect setting for Heather and Will as a couple. They were engaged by the water in Oakville and love to do anything outdoors! Travelling, walks on the beach, bonfires, and cooking breakfast are some of their favourite things to do together as a couple. Heather works in Real Estate and Will manages construction and development, so they are two busy bees! One day they’d like to take a trip to Greece and Italy. Moreover, they’re even getting married outdoors!
Heather and Will met in high school and have been together ever since. It’s no secret that I have a soft spot for high-school sweethearts because I married mine! Throughout their entire shoot they were just entirely focused on each other and totally in the moment. My favourite part of these sessions is getting to see how each couple puts their own spin on things but ultimately the overall theme is the same: two crazy kids in love tying the knot!
Heather and Will are getting married at the St. Clair Inn in Detroit Michigan. The boutique hotel was built in 1926 and has 42 guest rooms with 3 private cottages. It has a long and storied history (one of which includes Jimmy Hoffa) and they once held 12 weddings in ONE WEEKEND. I’m tired just imagining that, but it must have been a wild time! It’s pretty much one of the coolest wedding venues I’ve ever seen and I can’t wait to cross the border with them to live it up on their big day!
