A beautiful Fall day at St. Mary’s golf and country club: what more could you ask for on your wedding day?! Mandy and Josh love Autumn, and wish it could be here to stay permanently. The fact that they had absolutely amazing Fall weather for their wedding was just the cherry on top of the cake! They were sure to include little touches of Autumn throughout their ceremony and reception! They chose an Autumn color palette and included touches like pumpkins lining the aisle that really tied it all together. Bonus points to anyone who can find all the Nightmare Before Christmas pieces they artfully included!
Mandy and Josh’s first look was one of the sweetest things I have ever seen. Mandy started crying before she even rounded the corner or laid eyes on her groom, and Josh immediately started wiping away her tears. The promises they made to take care of each other on this day were clearly not just words. The love they have for each other comes through in every photo! The bride and groom decided to get most of their photos done before the ceremony which, if you ask me, is the best way to do it. Especially in the Fall season when you can lose light faster than you anticipate and daylight can just be unreliable in general! Additionally if you get it done early, you can enjoy the ceremony and festivities with your guests!
Would you believe me if I told you that Mandy and Josh have been together for 13 years?! They met in high school and started dating in college! They were supposed to get married last year but had to postpone due to the virus that must not be named, so this day has been a long time coming in more ways than one. It was so special to see this couple tie the knot in front of their friends and family after all this time! The food, drinks and laughs were plentiful and I truly enjoyed every moment of being in the presence of the bride, groom and their guests!
Mandy’s niece was the flower girl for the day and did an adorably terrific job! Mandy had her sister and three friends stand up on her side during the ceremony. Josh had four of his best friends behind him on his side looking dapper in their suits! The officiant is a friend of the couple, and the ceremony was packed with meaningful words and a lot of love. After the ceremony we took some more photos and then it was off to the reception! Multiple food stations and a champagne toast had the wedding guests – and this photographer – quite content.
As usual the staff and amenities at St. Mary’s Golf and Country Club and all the other wedding vendors really knocked it out of the park! St. Mary’s provides a wedding day experience like no other, and I truly enjoy shooting there so much! Their amenities and small thoughtful touches definitely set them apart from the rest! It’s no secret that wedding days don’t always go smoothly. The staff at St. Mary’s is well versed in keeping things on track no matter what’s thrown at them. St. Mary’s stunning grounds and reception venue are another reason they are one of the most sought after wedding venues in the area! My personal favourite is the location Mandy and Josh selected for their first look!
