This elegant wedding at the Cambridge Mill was the perfect mix of sophistication and intimacy.
The Cambridge Mill is one of the foremost venues in the Cambridge area for those looking to add elegance and charm to their wedding day. Rachel and Judd’s big day was no exception! Their wedding was elegant, intimate and SO much fun. Fun fact: the building on the property, the Dickson Mill, is one of the oldest industrial buildings in Cambridge.
Rachel and Judd are one of the sweetest, happiest couples and I’m so glad to have worked with them! It was so much fun to get to know them and hear their story while being a part of their wedding day.
A Family Affair
The ceremony was intimate and full of love, the perfect way to promise each other forever. Both of the bride’s parents gave her away, and Rachel and Judd had their three kids by their side as they said “I do”. Judd even included a set of vows he made to the children during the ceremony.
The kids did such a great job standing up for their Mom and Dad! Their oldest daughter is a competitive dancer, so you know they had the BEST time dancing it up at their reception!
The couple’s niece and daughter, 21 month old Addison, were their flower girls and were so absolutely adorable they brought the entire house down! Even if Addison couldn’t resist taking an up close and personal look at her mom and dad as they exchanged their vows. Their son Marcus was the best man and ring bearer, and he took his job VERY seriously as every best man should. He completely ROCKED it!
The Photos that Almost Weren’t
We were lucky to get outside for the photos we did! It was another one of those days where mother nature was threatening to rain all day, but it held off. Until it didn’t! Our plan B was photos in the coolest looking stairwell of all time and thank goodness we took the time to scout that out. As we were in the elevator on the way to take more photos outside, the sky opened up and it literally POURED!
Rachel and Judd also had a umm.. spirited gaggle of onlookers for their first look at the nearby park, and they handled it like pros! In fact, Judd even joked that he wanted them to come back for the entire photo session because he was laughing at them so much his smiles all looked so great and natural in the photos we took during that time.
