Wowza! WHAT A DAY!! Lynae and Ben chose their wedding date to honour Lynae’s grandparents on their 56th wedding anniversary. The love and respect Ben and Lynae have for the couple whose incredible marriage they chose to honour was palpable on this special day(seriously- when you see the images of Lynae and her grandfather- you’ll melt!)
It was such a pleasure to join these two as their families joined in celebrating them. During one of the speeches Lynae made a statement that she grew up in a family where one learned to drop everything to love and care for a family member or friend. This resonated so deeply with me as I heard her thank those who joined them for their wedding day and those who helped make the day special.
And what a special day it was! In case you were living under a rock for the pas two weeks; Lynae and Ben got married the day they closed EVERY SINGLE ROAD IN THE COUNTY!! Yep- that snowy, blowy wintery day is one and the same as what you’ll see scrolling below! It was a solid blizzard as we got ready in the morning. Then while we waited for the ceremony to begin I actually couldn’t see the street outside the church doors. As I shot the ceremony and thought about portraits afterwards, I frantically came up with a plan, a backup plan and one more plan after that!
Well, we were lucky beyond our worth and the sun came out and the wind died down just as we prepared to head outside for portraits! I got the beautiful, magical snowy, glowy portraits that I love and everyone kept their toes!! A big shoutout to their wonderful limo driver who stayed close by for us to warm up between shots!
I hope you love scrolling through this wedding as much as I do!
