When Melissa reached out about wedding photography, she told me about the very particular spot she had chosen for their wedding ceremony. So in return she had given her fiance Beckett full reign on wear they would do their engagement session. Beckett is studying architecture in school and wanted to reflect his love of man made structural beauty into their engagement session while still having nature too. What better spot is there than the Mill Ruins in Rockwood Conservation area.
The Mill ruins in Rockwood provide an incredible change of pace while shooting in the conservation area. The ruined stone work offered a beautiful backdrop and the sun cooperated perfectly allowing us to get those incredible glowy shots I love so much! We walked about 100 feet west and found a perfect rock outcrop overlooking the river, giving a us a backdrop worth of Algonquin Park! You’ll see as you scroll! It’s hard to believe these 2 locations were just steps apart!
This session was so much fun, getting to know Melissa and Beckett was such a joy! Beckett and Melissa started dating in high school and have been through several years of long distance as they both have finished their educations. They are finally ready to put an end to the distance and start their careers! These high school sweethearts were so sweet together and I cannot wait for their wedding at the Morrison Dam next fall!
Thanks For Reading!
