The week before Ashley and Michele’s wedding the weather was calling for rain.. Not just a little rain, but anywhere from 10-40mm of rain on the wedding day(The outdoor farm wedding day)!! Needless to say it was a nerve wracking week! Then suddenly on Thursday evening the rain completely disappeared on the forecast! Their wedding day was the perfect midsummer’s day with a breeze and gorgeous sunshine!! It was a total weather miracle.

When Ashley and Michele asked me to join them on their wedding day they told me they were simple farm girls and their celebration was going to reflect that. They certainly weren’t kidding. I photographed their engagement session last fall and we spent most of the session in the cow pasture, in the barn and on Michele’s truck! I also learned that their first date was in a tractor spreading manure across a field! I mean there seriously has never been 2 farm girls more meant to be than these two! It has been such a pleasure getting to know them both and seeing how much they love each other and they love farming!

Their love for each other on their wedding day was so apparent; both of them carving out special moments of the day to spend together without the rush of everyone around them and savouring the special memories of the day.
