Support for small business owners and solopreneurs is one of my many passions that have come to light through running this business of mine. When I started Aiden Laurette Photography, I didn’t realize how quickly it would grow or how lonely that growth could get. I very quickly learned that I am a person that needs value driven interactions with others. I know SO many small business owners that feel the same way! This is a large part of the reason why I felt so called to host the retreat I’m planning in May.

Burnout is rampant right now. I feel like every small business owner I speak to is barely hanging on. They also don’t feel like there’s a solution. The pandemic has changed the way we live and work. Because of this I feel like 2023 is going to look very different from the past few years. Entrepreneurship is a roller coaster, and it’s very easy to coast on the highs in order to be able to handle the inevitable low points. 2023 is already proving to be a  much more balanced year – meaning those crazy highs won’t necessarily be there to hold us over. It’s the first year in a while that consistent growth over time will have to mean consistent effort instead of the seemingly overnight growth many of us experienced.

Increased efforts and diminished returns is a recipe for increased burnout. So how can we strategically address this to ensure successful sustainable growth over time? In my experience, it’s all about movement and nourishment for mind and body.

Education, Connection, Nourishment

The doors are open to small business owners and solo entrepreneurs of any kind – not just photographers! We’re looking for people who:

  • Love working for themselves but hate that it means working by themselves
  • Have a passion and want it to become an income but don’t know where to start
  • Want their business to be one of the 10% that succeeds and thrives (yes, 10%!)
  • Crushed their business goals last year but also suffered serious burnout and guilt over their hussle

The main goal for this retreat is to teach you how to take care of yourself and your business. We want to provide tools and strategies to move forward and hit your goals this year without sacrificing your mental health, time with your family, or your integrity. Tools and strategies to reduce stress and burnout while reaching for your goals. Tools to take your marketing and business to the next level. We’re going to answer questions about the logistics of your business within a network of other entrepreneurs with similar mindsets and goals to connect with, bounce ideas off and create in real life connections with local entrepreneurs. All of that plus delicious food, relaxation, connection, and intentional body movement!
